Cisco stock (CSCO) has a tokenised version, CSCOx, a blockchain based asset that represents Cisco Systems shares. Each CSCOx token is backed 1:1 by real Cisco shares held in regulated custody. Cisco is a technology company best known for networking equipment such as routers and switches. It also sells cybersecurity products, collaboration tools such as Webex and observability software, and it acquired Splunk in 2024. Cisco was founded in 1984 and is based in San Jose, California. Holding CSCOx gives you indirect exposure to Cisco shares, but it is not the same as owning the underlying shares and does not come with shareholder rights.
