Apple stock (AAPL) has a tokenised version, AAPLx, a blockchain based asset that represents Apple shares. Each AAPLx token is backed 1:1 by real Apple shares held in regulated custody. Apple designs and sells consumer technology, including the iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch and AirPods, along with services such as the App Store, iCloud, Apple Music and Apple Pay. Founded in 1976 and based in Cupertino, California, it is one of the world's largest companies by market value. Holding AAPLx gives you indirect exposure to Apple shares, but it is not the same as owning the underlying shares and does not come with shareholder rights.
